Why do you have “frequently asked questions”?
Those who work with us have a right to know why they can put their trust in us. Therefore, we will always strive to provide a forum for all questions for those who place their needs into our hands, and we will always answer honestly and forthrightly.

When was Mastercut founded?
Mastercut Tool Corp began in 1982, and formally incorporated in 1985. We have many customers and associates who have been with us since the beginning, and we are thankful to them and to all relationships we have built over the years.

Where did the company start?
It all started with one hand grinding machine, one dust collector, and one individual, in a small garage in Safety Harbor, FL, just 2 miles from our current facility.

How large is the manufacturing plant?
Mastercut has grown to occupy approximately 70,000 sq ft of manufacturing space. The original hand grind machine is still here!

Does Mastercut Tool import for resale any products from a foreign country?
We manufacture our own carbide products in our Florida facilities, and thus we do not import any product for resale.

Does Mastercut sell direct to end users?
No, we sell exclusively through quality distributors, worldwide.

What is “MAP” Technology?
MAP
stands for”Mastercut Automated Production.” It is our unique method of quality control systems that ensure that every high quality tool we make is exactly the same, time after time, batch after batch.

What is “CNC1st”?
Customers Needs Come 1st!  Every Mastercut employee is part of the CNC 1st team, each devoted in their particular jobs to ensure that all actions are devoted to the customers needs and satisfaction. We work together, day in and day out, to make sure that our “Customers Needs Come 1st”…because they do!

Does Mastercut resharpen tools?
Yes, we have a small group of machines and craftsmen devoted to resharpening your carbide tooling, regardless of manufacturer.  Please call for more information.

What is the test tool policy of Mastercut Tool Corp.?
Contact your Mastercut Rep or preferred distributor for a guaranteed test tool order.

How do I make a return if needed?
Returns go through the distributor from whom you purchased. An RMA will be issued to send the product back. Credit may be issued after tools are received and inspected. Please review Terms and Conditions of Sale for Return Policy details.

Return Policy
Standard items that Mastercut maintains in stock may be returned with a 25% restocking fee. All returns must be received within 2 months of original ship date. We are unable to accept returns on non-stock items or specials.

Does Mastercut coat tools in house?
Yes, we have three state of the art coating vessels capable of the most advanced PVD coatings available.

What hours are Customer Service personnel available?
Our well-trained, multilingual customer service team is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm EST.
